There are no stoplights on this pristine island, but there are an abundance of recreational, cultural and nature-based activities that draw over 1.5 million visitors each year to this unique Georgia barrier island. The island is renowned for the preservation of its natural resources and has limited development to only 35 percent of its 5,000 +/- acres, insuring that this beautiful and significant environment will be protected for future generations. Jekyll offers something for everyone with the historical district, golf, water sports, horseback riding, seasonal events, choice of accommodations, unique beach-front meeting facilities, and miles of pristine beaches.

Services provided:

  • Creating and implementing a media relations campaign to promote Jekyll Island’s “Island Treasures” to over 200 national newspaper, magazine and television outlets

  • Wrote press kit contents and all promotional materials

  • Conducted ongoing media relations to generate coverage of the event
